MANUFACTURING BASE
Our specialty is to understand the global motorcycle market and to design products to fill in specific market segments for various countries throughout the world.
We are not interested in producing generic (sometimes called"public" models), we leave that to more than 200 factories in China that produce traditional motorcycles without a clear understanding of the international market needs and requirements. Working with selected assemblers, UM designs engineers and specifies the products that will bring success to our global distribution network. We dictate the manufacturing norms and requirements to our manufacturing partners in China and we make sure, through our own QC processes, that our products are produced under our American based QC systems.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Using global resources and positioning them to local tastes has been UM's R&D strategy. Appreciating the value of superior product design, UM insists that all models are designed by professional and experienced firms from all over the world. UM has R&D centers in China and America and also works with some of the most prestigious design houses in the world.
DESIGN PUBLICATIONS HOMOLOGATIONS
Under our R&D Dept we create the publications material needed to support our products and its service. We create parts books with our own UM part number, owner's manuals and all other material needed to properly service our customers.
We also certify our products to comply with different regulations such as DOT, EPA, EEC, etc depending on the market requirements.
