The Matrix EVO Delivery is a simple and practical concept that is changing the way Delivery is done. Delivery on scooters or motorcycles is not something new, however UM realized that it was not being done the right way. Traditionally companies purchase a regular motorcycle and install a regular box or basket to place the delivery items inside. These locally fabricated boxes or baskets are not insulated so they do not keep the food warm and fresh and they allow dust and smog particles filter through. Delivering products on a motorcycle is not as convenient as on scoter because the motorcycle has a higher center of gravity making it more unstable and the rider has to lift his leg up high to ride the bike, sometimes the rear box interferes with this creating trouble for the rider. These aftermarket boxes are installed in the rear rack of the motorcycle and extend out to the rear which creates an imbalance of the center of gravity of the motorcycle, sometimes a safety hazard. Finally these stock motorcycles or scooters are not designed for commercial use and abuse. So UM took the successful and powerful Matrix EVO and redesigned the frame geometry, strengthened key stress points and reinforced the suspension creating a true Commercial Delivery Scooter. Then UM studied many different delivery applications that the Matrix Delivery could be used for and the list was pretty extensive: Delivery for: Pizza, take-out food, groceries, pharmacy deliveries, printing services, packages, flowers, mail, beverages, etc. UM designed a Delivery Box that would accommodate all the above products in their different dimensions and created a fully insulated, ABS injected delivery box with a 12V heated delivery bag that is wired to the Matrix EVO and is activated by pressing a button; It can also be locked with a key. Rider comfort and ease of use is also very important which is why UM installed a padded back rest, center and side stand for easy parking, a front serrated disc brake for on-the-spot braking, large and prominent stop lights mounted to the delivery box as well as reflectors in different areas for rider safety.
